Pick-Up, Delivery, and Shipping Info



PICK-UP AND DELIVERY:


Porch Pick-up

For porch pick-up from our location in Addison, TX, orders can be placed online and scheduled for pick up as soon as one hour from the time of the order and up to 30 days in advance. To specify your pickup date and time, add your items to the shopping cart and click on “Edit” at the top right of the cart page.


Market Pick-Up

When picking up at a Farmer’s Market, please write the name

of the Market and select the market date in the Cart before checkout. This option is NOT available for same day pick-up.


Protecting Your Chocolate

We highly recommend bringing an insulated cooler bag with an ice pack to pick-up your orders for Porch/Market Pick-Up, to transport your chocolates home safely, as vehicle trunks and/or interiors are typically warm enough to melt your chocolate, especially if you have additional errands to run.


Delivery

Local Dallas, TX metro area deliveries occur on Saturdays depending on our market schedule or by appointment. For a limited time we are offering free delivery on orders of $10 or more within a 20 mile radius of Addison, TX.


If you don't plan on being home when we deliver, please set a cooler with ice packs on your front porch and we will place your order inside. This helps protect the chocolate from heat and possible animal damage.



SHIPPING, HANDLING, AND TRACKING FAQs:


How do we ship?

Under the Texas Cottage Food Law, (Health and Safety Code, Title 6, Subtitle A, Chapter 437.0194), we are allowed to sell directly to customers in person or personally deliver or arrange for pick-up of our products sold over the internet. Items may be shipped to your home if you purchase from us in person or over the phone. Please call us at (469) 431-4612.


We’ll try to use the best shipping option available, but some shipping methods are not available for certain destinations. In cooler months, you can choose 2-day Priority Mail or UPS Ground. But when it starts to heat up, things like delivery trucks and warehouses can get really warm and melt your chocolate. To keep your chocolate safe, we may need to adjust how we ship your order based on the weather, how long it’ll be in transit, or the temps along the way. We recommend 1-day shipping with ice packs during the warmer months.


When do we ship?

We ship Monday through Wednesday only, to give your chocolates the best chance of arriving cool and happy to your home without an extended stay in a warehouse or the back of a truck.


How are my chocolates packed?

Your chocolate order is hand-packed to the best of our ability in an insulated box with ice packs as needed. In cooler seasons, your order will be wrapped in any combination of kraft paper, recycled bubble wrap, recycled foam, and/or recycled air cushions.


How do I track my package?

You will receive an email with your tracking number (please be sure to check your Spam folder). If you do not receive a tracking number, please email your confirmation to orders@1818chocolates.com and let us know you did not receive your tracking info and we will resend it.



REFUNDS AND RETURNS:


For food safety reasons, we do not offer any refunds or accept any returns of products at this time. We do our best to pack each and every order with care and cannot be held responsible for theft, damages due to but not limited to: animals, weather, delivery, heat, neglect, shipping, etc.


Once your order ships, it’s up to you to keep an eye on the tracking, be available for delivery (or let your recipient know it’s coming), and contact the shipping carrier if you need to reschedule. Please make sure all addresses and emails are correct when you place your order. We’re not responsible for returned packages and won’t reship returned orders.
